Ajay Devgn, born as Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a well-known Indian actor, filmmaker, and producer working primarily in Hindi cinema. Known as a top-tier actors, he has acted in over 100 films and received several honors, including four National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor. Devgn made his acting debut with the action-romance *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a commercial success that catapulted him to fame. He subsequently starred in hit action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His critically acclaimed performance in *Zakhm* (1998) earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn offered critically praised performances in films like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His portrayal Bhagat Singh earned him his another National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he made a strong comeback with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017). More recently, his movies *Tanhaji* (2020), *Drishyam 2* (2022), and *Singham Again* (2024) have set new box office records, with *Tanhaji* earning him another National Film Award. In besides acting, Devgn runs his film production house, Ajay Devgn FFilms, established in 1999. He is wedded to actress Kajol, and they have a son and daughter together.
